How Assigners will work with the SCLA in the New Ramp platform

The value proposition is:

  1. SCLA has a unified 100% synced system from scheduling games to parents and officials seeing their games in the Team App (Parents) and Officials (Officials App)
  2. Assigners will be able to use both systems with their own reporting.
  3. Officials will have more visibility and confirming their games from assigners and the SCLA.
  4. Assigners/Officials will have more autonomy in Ramp systems.

SCLA’s Expectations

  1. Assigners will learn that the new system helps both the SCLA and Officials:
    1. Officials/Assigners will see games both in Arbiter and Ramp assigning.
      1. Problem: Assigners required an exported schedule from the SCLA to Assigners to then input in Arbiter. Delay in inputting schedule to Arbiter and normal comms delays with officials accepting.
      2. Solution: SCLA Games synced with Ramp Assigning and available for Assigners to assign directly or:
        1. Assigners will have access to the SCLA’s games to export them, then assign on their own report (Joanne) or import into Arbiter (Chris)
        2. Assigners can directly assign games in Ramp (immediate notification) or send their reports to me to assign in Ramp.
        3. If SCLA inputs from Assigners reports, then officials (immediate notification) by email and the Officials App.
    2. Officials will be able to accept game assignments both in Arbiter and Ramp assigning.
      1. Problem: Communication delays with Officials seeing or accepting games assigned to them.
      2. Solution: Games assigned in Arbiter and then assigned in Ramp with immediate visibility in their Officials App and email confirmation. Double confirmation system.
        1. Assigners and Officials once comfortable with Ramp can accept games in Ramp.
    3. Officials will be able to see updated game assignments, canceled games etc. both in Arbiter and Ramp assigning immediately upon change.
      1. Problem: Game rescheduling and communication delays: SCLA-to-Assigners and then Assigners-to-Officials then Assigners-to-SCLA. Can take 1 to 2 days and several back and forth comms and files.
      2. Solution:
        1. SCLA plans changes and then informs Assigners.
        2. Assigners make changes in Arbiter. Officials see changes in Arbiter.
        3. SCLA make changes in Ramp. Officials See changes in Officials App.
        4. Or Officials can assign or grab (Ramp terms) changed games through Officials App.
        5. Officials see same game changes in Arbiter and Ramp Officials App.
        6. Double confirmation system,

How Do Games Show Up in Ramp Assigning?

  1. Game Scheduler in SCLA Ramp CMS (Website) creates Games.
    1. Games are modified, changed or adjusted in Website
  2. Once games are finalized, they are synced in Ramp Assigning module.

  1. Games are then selected by SCLA to be transferred into game assigning module of the website to Assigner so they can see games.
